IronPigs: 2022 Promotion Schedule Revealed; Pig Day Saturday

Swag haul from Pig Day 2020–right before the world shut down. More on Pig Day 2022, below.

The entire 2022 IronPigs promotional schedule has been released, at lunchtime today. As always, it is subject to change as the season gets underway, but it’s a nice mix of fireworks, giveaways, themes and entertainment. We’ll have the usual weekly themes, as we continue the Tuesday to Sunday home stand schedule (with a few exceptions).

Read on for specifics, dates, and putting together some of the giveaways with the themes.  Here’s what we’re looking forward to most at Kram Manor:

  1. Thursday Happy Hours.  Look, I have Fridays off, so it’s the perfect start to my weekend. Come out early, have a dollar dog or three (OK, $1.06 with tax)–and a nice cold draft on a summer Thursday.
  2. The bobbleheads.  Of course.  There are only two, though, I think–and we don’t know who of, yet.  One will be a throwback Phillies and one will be a current prospect.  The throwback “Phillies Legend” hasn’t been revealed yet.  (Here’s my guess:  Steve Carlton)  But, whomever it is, I think will be in attendance that night.
  3. Allentown Ambassadors Night.  Did you know, when the Ambassadors played in South Allentown, I had an apartment only a block away?  And I never attended?
  4. The cap giveaways.  There’s a few of them.  Like I need more caps, right?
  5. The jersey auctions and cap raffles.  There’s like nine of them.  I’m starting to save up my money right now.
  6. The car show on Memorial Weekend Sunday
  7. The “kid takeover night.”  That could be fun.
  8. Sensory Friendly Day.  I loved it last time.  This time is comes along with a return to 5:35 Sunday starts during the middle of summer.
  9. Salute to Philadelphia and Salute to Lehigh Valley nights.  We don’t know the exact theme yet, but they’ve proven that they can do a good job with these, so I look forward to both of them.
  10. Jeep night.  I’m not a Jeep guy, but a good friend of mine is–maybe we can get a tradition/parade going like they do for Harleys in Reading?
  11. HogFather Night:  Bocce on the field?  Yes, please.
Here’s How The Weeks Stack Up:

Tuesday: Tail-Waggin’ Tuesdays. It’s dog night!

Wait, did you say Pig Day?  Yeah, it’s back, and it’s next Saturday from 10AM to 1PM.  There will still be fun and pork sandwiches and the usual goings on with yard signs available as well as some new merch in the store, perhaps.  Ticket packages will be available for pickup.  However, any Season Ticket Member swag will have to wait until a later date, I’ve been told, due to some supply line problems.

See you at the park–can’t wait!
