Asian Street Food is up first, along with new items at some of your favorite food stands. Here’s the first look:
When you walk into the PPL Center tomorrow, one of the first things you’ll see is the new “food truck.” It’s the new “street food” concept the PPL Center has introduced. The three offerings will stay in place for the immediate future, but they will have the ability to rotate from time to time. First up is an Asian concept, featuring a Brisket Taco, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and the award-winning Pork Shoulder Banh Mi. In the future they have the ability to introduce other concepts, such as Indian food.
Around the arena, additional food offerings will be introduced at the established stands, and in theme with their current menu. The Italian stand near section 105 will introduce garlic knots, for instance:
The new “food truck” stand should be open for all hockey games, as well as all other major events hosted by the arena. The new offerings at the established stands will be available then, as well.
While the portables within the Morning Call Club are constantly rotating anyway, arena representatives tell me that some new choices have been available on the catering menu for the suite holders in the suite levels since the beginning of the season. Those choices have given the suite holders more flexibility, as well as additional choices for kids and families.
Kudos to the PPL Center for updating the concession choices for fans and event goers. Additional choices at the regular concessions were a need as well. We were able to sample some of the new dishes, which were all very good. I’d encourage you to try the new items on your next visit to the arena!
