Phantoms Staff Promotions and Employee News

This came out today in the form of an official press release, and I know there are folks who might be interested.  Many times over the years the team staff become our friends and we look forward to seeing them at the ballpark or the arena.  Of course, it’s the minors and it’s not just the players and coaches who are looking to move up the ladder.  I can say I miss a few of the folks who have moved on from the Phantoms already, and I’m happy to see some of the folks below get promoted because it makes me think they’ll be able to stick around a little longer; there’s not a one of them I don’t think deserves their new position.

Here’s the release:

Phantoms Announce Series of Promotions and New Hires for 2016-17 Season

December 13, 2016

Lehigh Valley, PA – The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, are pleased to announce a series of promotions and new hires within the team’s front office in conjunction with the start of the 2016-2017 season.

Four promotions came within the club’s ticketing department, which has been pivotal in orchestrating 46 standing room-only sellouts through the team’s first two seasons in Lehigh Valley. Trevor Herrick was promoted to Senior Sales Specialist while Julie Nespoli was promoted to Senior Retention Specialist. Both have been with the Phantoms since the club’s 2014-15 Inaugural Season in the Lehigh Valley. What’s more, Mike Barbieri and Devon Frey, who began with Lehigh Valley as Sales Associates during the 2015-16 season, have been promoted to Sales Specialists while Brandon Richards has been brought on as a Sales Associate to help augment the team’s ticketing efforts.

The Phantoms’ game presentation department also saw a promotion in addition to a pair of new hires. Amy Keller, who served as Lehigh Valley’s Director of Game Presentation the past two seasons and was a driving force behind the Phantoms being awarded Outstanding Fan Experience by the AHL in each of the last two years, has been promoted to the team’s Creative Director. In addition, Dustin Seyler has been named the team’s Production Coordinator while Alex Schempp was added as the club’s Production Assistant.

The Phantoms have also made an additional promotion and another new hire in order to continue the team’s dedicated efforts toward engaging its fans. Dan Fremuth, who served as Lehigh Valley’s Relations Manager for the past two seasons and spearheads the club’s media relations and community outreach, has been promoted to Director of Public Relations while Russell Hryvnak has been named the team’s Director of Digital and Social Media.

Finally, the Phantoms promoted Tyler Deane, who previously served as the team’s Manager of Accounting, to Controller.

  1. Quesion For Kram :

“Outstanding Fan Experience” — is this why when Friday night’s game was stopped so that the referees could review something on replay, the big screen on the giant scoreboard was showing a bunch of eight-year-old kids jumping around and carrying on?

The guy next to me asked, “What are the refs looking at?” … “The eight-year-old kids jumping around, just like you and me, of course!” … 🙂
