The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (1-0) hit the road this week when they head to Raleigh, NC to take on the Triangle Torch (1-0). After a bye week, the ’Hawks will face a veteran laden Torch team on Friday night, 7:05pm kickoff. Lehigh Valley is coming off a road win over the Central Penn Capitals in their first regular season game; while the Triangle Torch defeated the Winston Wildcats to get their first franchise victory ever last week.

.
QB Jake Jablonski has stepped up as an early leader for the Steelhawks, throwing for four touchdowns and running for another last game. Five different receivers have caught touchdown passes already, including the pre-season game, but WRs Greg Edward and Darius Prince have proved to be some of Jablonski’s favorite targets to move the ball.

.
This week Lehigh Valley’s young offense will most likely see some veteran arena players lined up on defense. Former Hawk DL Brandon Sutton, DB Malik Cromartie (Richmond Raiders), and WR Gerron “Scooby” Bryant (Richmond Raiders).

.
The Torches’ offense will be led by former Alabama Hammers QB Garret Sutphen, and the ever dangerous receiver Gerron “Scooby” Bryant (former Raider) who last week against Winston caught 11 passes for 149 yards and three scores. While the rest of the offense may not have the resume of those two, the Torch always has the right leg of Former PIFL Special Teams Player of the Year in placekicker TC Stevens (former Raider) to fall back on.

.
Lehigh Valley’s defense has an outstanding front five, led by DL Larry Ford (LV’s all-time sack leader) and LB Justin Shirk (two sacks last game). The backfield is full of ball-Hawking backs, James Pitts (one INT) and John Williams III both have numerous pass break ups already in this young season.

.
Limiting the Torches’ red-zone appearances will be key for the Steelhawks, and their young offense has to continue to mature and put points on the board for Lehigh Valley to come away with a victory in Raleigh.

.
