The Bethlehem Steel FC announced today that they would be conducting a fan poll to help name their weekly TV show–and with that announcement a little extra info.
Follow Bethlehem Steel FC tomorrow (@BSteelFC) on Twitter, starting at 10AM, for your chance to vote. The names in contention will be:
- Steel Soccer 360
- Steel FC Soccer Weekly
- Bethlehem Steel Soccer Weekly
The vote will be conducted over only 24 hours!
Bethlehem Steel FC Managing Director Rich Searls said, “The fans played such a vital role and showed sound judgment in determining our team name and we are excited to involve them in this process as well. As we get closer to our home opener, the momentum is building and this soon-to-be-named show is a pivotal piece of the puzzle.”
Along with the press release came another tidbit of news: It does appear that the broadcast partner for the Steel FC will be our friends at Service Electric–as they will be the ones hosting the weekly TV show in question. As you know, they do an outstanding job covering our other local professional sports franchises such as the IronPigs, Phantoms and SteelHawks. In the past, they’ve been able to cover overlap between those teams–as well as when the teams have games scheduled at the same time as major, local, high school sports. I have no doubt they’ll to an excellent job! (And, perhaps, there will be a more formal announcement of the Service Electric partnership, to come.)
