Let’s take it back to February 9, 2010. Here’s a post from Dan, with some memories from the previous season:
Last summer we enjoyed Rochester Red Wing center fielder Jason Pridie’s presence in Coca Cola Park. With some help from our iPhones and Wikipedia we located some fun information that led to “We Want Popcorn!” chants. I’ll leave it up to you to search this on your own, but those of Noise Nation surely remember the Orville Reddenbacher special last year!
The Mets claimed Pridie off waivers from the Minnesota Twins and immediately made room for him on their 40 man roster by releasing Jack Egbert. Given the Mets injuries at the major league level we may not get to see Pridie back in CCP in 2010 but there is always that chance he joins Mike Cervenak with the Bison.
Epilogue: Jason Pridie will play this next season in the Japan Central League for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp.
See you at the park,
