Bethlehem Steel FC, the USL affiliate of the MLS Philadelphia Union, announced their season ticket prices and options today. Those of us who have deposits on packages will be contacted shortly to choose our seats.
Above, you can see the seating map, as it appears only the West side of the stadium will be used for soccer at this juncture–or at least for season tickets. With your package, you’ll get:
- Same “seat” for 16 matches
- Preferred parking
- Bonus game (opponent “TBA”–I suppose some type of 17th match exhibition–could involve the Union)
- Season Ticket Holder gift
- Autograph opportunity at home matches post-game–space limited.
- Opportunity to participate in pre-game activities
So what do they cost?
In the map above, the red areas are “general admission.”
RED $176/seat; $11/per match
The yellow areas are “reserved.”
YELLOW $192/seat; $12/match
The blue areas are reserved, with chair-backs.
BLUE $256/seat; $16/match
The small, green areas along the sidelines are field-side seats.
GREEN $400/seat; $25/match
Impression: I think the pricing is fair, and if we’ve learned anything from hockey, it’s that a little price advantage (single-game pricing has not yet been announced) PLUS avoiding the probable fees associated makes season tickets a very worthwhile investment. For me, I like to be up a bit higher, and wouldn’t mind the chair-back, so I’ll likely try to get seats near the back of WE or WF. However, depending on how the season goes and how the stadium feels for soccer, I could see myself opting for GA in the future. Those who have more experience with Goodman Stadium, please let us know about any stadium peculiarities by using the comments section below.
The last thing is, I kind of dislike finding out about this via mass web blast. As someone who left a deposit for season tickets on the first day they were available, I would have liked to get an email or phone call first. At any rate, they’re assuring that even if you go on the web site (here) and order a full package, folks with deposits will get first crack at seat choices.
See you out on the pitch,
