These moves to be made official before tomorrow’s Phillies game, I hear:

2B Chase Utley activated by Philadelphia, from DL

RHP Dalier Hinojosa optioned to LHV IronPigs, by Philadelphia

OF Jordan Danks optioned to LHV IronPigs, by Phialdelphia

LHP Adam Loewen contract selected by Philadelphia, promoted from Lehigh Valley IronPigs

Good outing by Hinojosa today eating some innings in Philly; however, since he wouldn’t be available and since Adam has earned it–good to see Loewen make it back to the Show as a pitcher.  You’ll recall he was a pitcher first, and when arm trouble surfaced, he went back to the minors and made it all the way back up as an outfielder.  Once his arm was feeling better, he started the process a third time as a pitcher and has now realized that goal.  He was the first guy I talked to on media day this past Spring, and we wish him the best:  I hope he can stick up there for the remainder of the season, although I’m not thrilled about losing our “closer” with the IronPigs.  Loewen declined an invitation to pitch for Canada in the Pan Am games, because things were going well and he was in line for this promotion.

Further moves might need to be made by the ‘Pigs, so stay tuned.  They’ll need to make room for two players, with only one going up, and will need to activate Sev Gonzalez at some point as well.  They’ll be back in action tonight in Toledo trying to complete a series sweep on the road–then on to Columbus on the Ohio road trip.

See you at the park–maybe Reading tomorrow,

@Kram209
