“Call ‘Em Mup” The Fall Out [Boy] From The Amaro Comments

“My GM knows what you did at the park

So call ’em mup, up, up

Call ’em mup, up, up

Call ’em mup, up, up

They’re on fire!

So call ’em mup, up, up

Call ’em mup, up, up

Call ’em mup, up, up

They’re on fire!

Oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa.

At the park, park

Oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa.

At the park, park

All the writers keep writing what they write

Somewhere a prospect just dies

We’ve got scars from Amaro we wish you could see

Prospects are the antidote to everything for me

In case you missed it today, the Phillies’ GM Ruben Amaro Jr. had some disparaging remarks about Phillies’ fans and their desire to see “prospects” called up to the Majors.  He said there’s a plan.  He said he’s following the plan.

That’s good, right?  That sounds reasonable.  But, what’s the plan?  What’s Nola working on?  Will it really be that big a deal if we know that he’s working on his change-up?  You don’t really care about whether Reading wins or loses, do you Rube?  C’mon man, throw us a bone.  Give us a hint about the plan.  How are we supposed to understand the plan if no one tells us what it is?  Is the plan to get Nola to the Majors by September?  That sounds like a reasonable plan.  Is the plan to make a bunch of trades?!?  I WANNA KNOW THE PLAN!

I’m kidding of course.  It will all become clear in the fullness of time.  Dom Brown and Cody Asche will be back in Philly, with David Buchanan if he’s healthy.  Aaron Altherr and Aaron Nola will be in Allentown.  JP Crawford and a couple of those pitchers will be in Reading.  Canelo, Tocci and Hoskins–along with more pitchers–will move to Clearwater.  The Williamsport season will start.  Then, all will be right with the world.  What?
