Pullin’ Out the Big Guns: Rosters and Lineups on the Move…

Well, we’ll see how big they really are, won’t we.  But these Pigs aren’t going quietly–time to make some NOISE:

  1. Grady Sizemore is in the IronPigs clubhouse and on the lineup card, but won’t start tonight.  He’s available, I’d assume.
  2. Russ Canzler, the PA Native and former RailRider, was signed and his batting cleanup tonight as DH.
  3. Jason Marquis is in the IronPigs clubhouse and will start tomorrow’s game.
  4. Rusty Ryal sent to Reading to make room.  Another move will need to be made for Marquis, tomorrow, I’d assume.

Reading moves, which may impact indirectly:

  1. LHP Ryan Demmin promoted from Clearwater to Reading
  2. LHP Jesse Biddle to Temporary Inactive List
  3. OF Jiwan James released

Here’s what we think, over in Kram’s Korner:

  1. Signing ex-Railriders could give us inside info in order to acquire the much-desired IronRail Trophy.  (kidding)
  2. Sorry to hear about Jiwan James.  I always kinda liked him.
  3. I hope all is OK with Biddle.  Could be he just needs a break, or rest.  Given his performance lately, it’s also possible he’s dealing with some kind of undisclosed injury.  Here’s hoping it’s all minor, and that he’s back to good, soon.
  4. I say get Sizemore out there!  What are we waiting for?  We’ve only got him until July 13 at the latest.  Let’s go!  (it’s all good.  Whatever’s best for the team/player.  I’m kidding.  mostly.)

See you at the game tonight,

…leaning Phillies for Saturday…
