The SteelHawks are preparing for a Mother’s Day Match-up with the 0-4 Alabama Hammers. In doing so, they welcome back WR Troy Pascley. The addition of Pascley should give QB Adam Bednarik an additional target and provide for some offensive boost. The defense has been stellar, but PIFL games can get crazy sometimes, and the ability to score and score quickly cannot be understated.
Don’t sleep on the Alabama Hammers either. Their 0-4 record represents their relative inability to stop their opponents–they’ve been able to put some points on the board, and even with the SteelHawks’ outstanding defense, the offense will need to continue to improve. There’s some pressure here as it’s a game the SteelHawks shouldn’t lose, but will need to play well to win.
Here are some additional details about Sunday’s game, from the SteelHawks Web Site:
Kickoff for this Sunday’s game is slated for 4:05 pm. It will be “Pinked Out for Breast Cancer,” presented by St. Luke’s University Health Network. The first 800 fans through the door will receive a pink rally towel. Mothers will receive a free flower courtesy of Ruby’s Floral Factory (limited to the first 500). There will also a Tricky Tray to benefit Talon’s Man of the Year Campaign to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Don’t forget that at each Steelhawks’ home game, every time the Steelhawks score a touchdown, one lucky season ticket holder will be entered into the Boscov’s Travel drawing to win a Free Vacation.
