Elizabeth “Betty” Daniels 1939-2012

Elizabeth Betty Ann Daniels, 73 years, of Allentown, passed away February 23, 2012 at the home of her son in Schuylkill Haven. She was the widow of Harry F. Muggs Daniels. Born in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and A. Elizabeth (Frye) Weller. She worked for the Iron Pigs as a sales clerk for the past four years. Prior to that, she worked for Lehigh Valley Hospital in data processing and as a tech aid. Betty was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Fogelsville for many years.

We all have fond memories of Betty and she put the DiPro on my first IP Jersey. Most of all we’ll remember Betty for her kindness and caring. One could instantly tell Betty took pride in her work and always brought a warm smile and friendly atmosphere to the Clubhouse Store.

We’ll miss you Betty!

Oh my God! This is so sad!!! Betty was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known, and we became instant friends due to the fact that she knew my in-laws very well. She was my “go to” lady for personalizing my IP jersey (she even joked about misspelling the name when she knew it by heart!) as well as a Rod Brind’Amour Hurricanes jersey for my daughter. She will surely be missed by all who looked forward to her beautiful smile and cheerful demeanor. May she rest in peace – and enjoy watching the Pigs from her “Sky Box”

  2. Sad news indeed. Rest in peace, Betty.

OMG this is so sad and shocking. I am saddened to hear the news. Betty was the “heat press lady” as I’ve called her. She put the “Thompson” name on the back of my All-Star Jersey. But I’ve known her since the IronPigs inception. She was one of the many smiling faces in the Clubhouse Store and will be sorely missed. Here’s one more “high five” for ya Betty, Rest in Peace.
